every city has a population of pigeons.

day #1 of this little lifestyle makeover i'm planning. i'm not sure exactly what i'm changing, but something is going to change.

well for starters, no more of my mindless spending, etc. i need to save $$$ so i can move out of this shitbox of a state.

i'm having trouble deciding where i want to move. i don't know if i want year round warm weather (i sort of get sick of the heat) or four seasons. my choices are endless, but the following are my narrowed-down selection: nyc, san fran, houston, london, so cal. hmmm choices choices. let's see ...i think it's time for a pro's and con's list. yessum, that's it.

NYC

Pros:

-Close enough to home to visit people such as parents and *friends*.

-four seasons

-lots of "stimulation" in the city

-good pay at animal clinics

-very likely could get a job at Village Voice (but would i want to work with Sarah? um no.)

-NYU

-culture, culture, culture

-far from Nick

Cons:

-Sarah (but its a big city, i dont *have* to see her)

-winter

-cannot bring car

-high rent

-would probably need a roommate, and i've had my share of roommates

-noisey (but i love city life...yarr)

San Fran:

Pros:

-straight up beautiful

-far from these soap operas here in maine

-culture

-mucho stimulationo

-close enough to my buddy eric to see him much more often

-close to portland, OR

-jobs are aplenty in the fields i am trained in (vet medicine and arts editing)

-UCSF

Cons:

-most men are gay...pffft ;)

-far from that sweet boy i have a crush on <3

-far from mom & liz, wouldn't see them as much as they'd like (but this is all about me for once, so hmmm)

-smog?

-mucho dinero

Houston:

Pros:

-great music scene

-helena

-different

-close to mexico. OLE'

-krizteen and friends? fun

-warm

Cons:

-too warm?

-steers and queers (jk)

-why am i even considering texas. bah.

London

Pros:

-family i've never met

-photo school

-overseas living experience

-greg (renewal of friendship?)

Cons:

-expensive

-greg can be very difficult

-far from certian people again

BAHH what to do, what to do. who knows. for now, i am sending numerous resumes to employers in all of these places. i don't feel like listing the pros & cons for so cal, because i'm sick of this subject and i want to go outside and feed my sandwich to the pigeons. i really like how they move their heads to propetuate their walking. they even use their necks to turn right and left. i think i'm going to take one home. the cats would surely enjoy that.
