sometimes i miss having a man living here with me. i miss lying in my bed, under the purple star and purple christmas lights, sharing a drink and an embrace. i miss tangled legs and the smell of boy on my pillows.

the goodnight kiss is what brought me sweet dreams, and the breathing beside me was soothing. sometimes i close my eyes and pretend that i am not alone.
