i'm getting ready for bed, and reading a few online journals. friends from the past are instant messaging me tonight. they seem to want to know me still. i like that. it is nice to know that time and distance doesn't end the (friendly) affection we have for each other. even after some bittersweet times.

on a lighter note, i noticed that linus likes to sit on my things. right now, for example, he planted himself onto my planner. he is sitting on it, facing the wall, not moving a muscle except the one that helps him purr.

he is a territorial cat, butnot in the negative sense. he likes to claim ownership to things that are important to me. he think's i am his mother. he seems to have a bit of obsession with me. he looks so content when he is with me.

how cute is that? very. i know.
