he says i'm his girlfriend, but in the strangest of tones. he says with false sincerity that he wants no woman but me. he patronizes me by saying he missed me, too.

i worked so hard to get to this point with myself and with him, and now that i am here, i am ready to blow out these candles.

i need sunlight instead.
